I am sitting here at my sister Gina's house, watching my nephew Dominick dance along with Elmo when it hit me, wow today is THURSDAY and I haven't even written my blog this week, and it's almost over! woops :/
I don't know how I could have forgotten because it was a great week, we are exactly half way through the 12 week weight loss challenge, so Laura did our measurements to show us that there are bigger changes than just pounds. I lost 6 1/4 INCHES OFF MY WAIST!!! I mean I can't tell you how exciting that was to hear! I literally had to hold tears back, and as I am typing this, I am getting all misty again. I then went out to my car and started calling people and texting friends to tell them about my losses, I was so proud! And when I came to my sister's house the very next day I wipped my shirt up to show her my ever shrinking waist line WOOHOO GO ME! I have also lost a total of 12 pounds since I started working out the week before Xmas but those inches are just in the last 6 weeks! It definitely backed up how hard I have been working in the gym and with trying to eat healthier. Although I have to say the last week and a half for some reason hasn't been going as well with the healthier eating aspect. Oh, but I also lost another 1 and a 1 /2 pounds at the weigh in!
I was FINALLY able to run for the first time in a month WITH NO SHIN PAIN! I ran a little on Thursday and it was good so I ran intervals on Sunday at bootcamp and I could NOT breath but my legs were still good. I didn't go to the gym Monday so when I went on Tuesday morning 4 cardio I ran, the most I have ever run actually and can now hardly walk bcuz of the pain WTF!?!! It's so frustrating that I really liked it and it's so painful. and not in the good way your muscles hurt the day after a great workout.
I never thought I would actually look forward to the muscle aches and pains (minus the shins) but I do! I think because I have never really worked hard enough to cause my muscles to need 2 recover. I love when the places on my body I REALLY want to work on, well all of it, but especially my butt and abs 4 sure, are so sore the next day it hurts to even sit on the toilet lol yea not a great thought to put in your heads but whatever, get over it hehe or cough even a little bit and my stomach aches but I ACTUALLY LOVE IT! I know I worked hard enough the day before that it's working :)
Ok, well next week I will really try to work on my blogging, I know this weeks was a little short and skimpy.
