Week 8 WOW

I'm still going and still LOVING IT!!!! WOOHOO
My weigh in didn't go as well as I hoped this week, I wanted to lose 4 pounds, but I still did great! I lost 1 1/2 pounds!
I hear from EVERYONE that losing too much at once will probably come back, so a pound a week is supposed to be pretty good. I've been pretty consistent too, so I am happy with it. Just going to take me longer than I wanted, to lose what I think I want to lose. I am the biggest instant gratification person I've ever known, so that is another thing I need to try and change a bit about myself. We are going to be doing measurements again next week, half way through the 12 week weight loss challenge, so I am eager to see the difference. I feel like it will be much more telling than the weight loss itself.
I had a hard week emotionally this week, with a few people close to me making comments and questioning me about if I'm working out too much or that it's not good to change my diet, etc. I have never eaten healthier and 4 the 1st time in, hmm probably 4ever I am doing something for myself. To better myself from the inside out and am soooo excited about it! It was very hurtful to me that the people I love would ever be unsupportive of me in something I feel is so positive. I know I talk about Laura a lot and I will keep praising her until the end of time! She had some great words of advice and encouragement for me when I was upset. I am a people watcher, and this week I was watching how she was with other people working out and she is just so good at picking up on what each individual needs to hear and to do, it's crazy! Ok, I am going to try to stop talking about her and focus on me, but did u ever notice it is a LOT easier to talk some1 else up hehe
I have also come to recognize that Laura's husband, Dickie, has been really good about helping me when I have a question and I am there on my own. He is there a lot and very knowledgeable with working out. Thank you for not making me feel stupid with what I know are truly asinine questions ;)
I had a HUGE breakthrough this week with my arm. As you probably all know, I had 2 shoulder surgeries this past year, which totally messed up my entire arm, worse than before the surgery :( stupid piece of shit doctor! Anyway, a month ago when I did a preacher curl, (kind of excited I know what that is lol) my right arm would be bent way in, all crazy and grossly distorted and yesterday when I did it, it was almost completely STRAIGHT!!!! So, what I thought was going to be a life long thing, is also getting better from working out :) Thanks Laura! sorry her name just slipped out lol
Now, do you all remember me talking about the banana football? I know I must have at some point. It was THE ONLY THING I could NOT do in my workouts! It's actually an 18 pound Bulgarian Throwing Bag (aka "the Banana Football") And I FINALLY did the Throw-Over Stand-Up! I can't tell you how frustrated I was with this damn thing and how THRILLED I was 2 get up with it!! I mean so thrilled that I clapped 4 myself lol and I may or may not have jumped up and down a lil bit :)
I didn't work out on Thursday like I always do because I was sick. I still felt really weak on Friday but I went and did bootcamp still and felt better afterwards. Crazy how things work. SO, overall it was another great week and I look forward to this one!
I hope you all keep working hard at making yourself healthier, happier and stronger! You deserve it!
