7 FULL WEEKS!






7 FULL WEEKS!
7 FULL WEEKS! I never thought I would work out for 7 weeks in a row lol not without quitting. Over the yrs I have joined hmm 4 different gyms. That is a lot of money wasted, because I never went! I joined Sneakers 1st and went sporadically the 1st month and then never again, I had a 2 yr membership taken out of our checking account every month for that time. Next was American Family Fitness. Not too bad, $100 for a year and I went the day I signed up and NEVER AGAIN! Next was Ballys, I started out going well 4 the 1st 2 or 3 weeks, but HATED it! Did not want 2 go, only went cuz my friend also joined and pushed me to do it. I half assed everything I did there. I only took classes, which I found so mundane. I NEVER wanted 2 go 2 classes and NEVER went on my own just 2 do things. I didn't really learn anything in class that could help me in the gym. I would look around at the machines and think, what the hell does that do and how do I use it? The class was in a room full of mirrors, that was it. More money wasted. FINALLY my friend started going to a Bootcamp at Ironworks gym and said I should go. I figured, it was a pay by the class so I wouldn't waste too much money when I hated it lol so the story always went 4 me. and then AAHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAA I SERIOUSLY LOVED IT! From the very 1st time I went. It wasn't like classes I had done b4. The trainer is Laura, she is in PHENOMENAL SHAPE so I knew she knew what she was talking about! She didn't have us in some boring room doing the same things over and over every class. She has us IN THE GYM using all the machines and weights and teaching us proper form, she makes it exciting and is positive and enthusiastic about everything, it makes you want to do well and push yourself! CLEARLY I have not cared about working out or losing weight, sure I hated the way I look, but I want to lose 60 pounds and that doesn't happen doing nothing! And now, I am so excited to go work out. I go to her bootcamp class 3 times every week AND I go 2 to 3 times on my own during the week, starting out with cardio and then I am always adding a few other things in lately, stuff Laura taught me that I liked and could feel working. I know I sound like a commercial for the place, but I just can't believe how much I really truly love working out! I am really proud of myself 4 sticking with this. It doesn't feel like I'm doing it just 2 lose weight or whatever, but I actually like it! And a plus is that I have met some really nice people that I actually like :) Those of u that know me, know I don't particularly like people lol I like animals, people I could just totally do without. But a few of these woman, Laura at the top of the list, I hope 2 b friends with forever! I owe her a lot, I really do! 4 being the ONLY person it appears, 2 really give me what I needed 2 do this. I honestly don't know exactly what it was, but she has something really special in her. I wholly believe she is doing exactly what she should b doing in life!
Ok, now on2 my week. 1st of all I LOST 3 POUNDS WOOOHOOOO! Very excited especially after the not so pretty weigh in last week. But lets just 4get about that, shall we ;) never 2 b spoken about again, allllrighty then!
It is not very often we ever do the same thing twice. We learn new stuff EVERY class! and this week, we did the glute and ham raise! so far, the HARDEST thing I have ever done! I mean seriously, i was going to go workout today and I can hardly walk lol its sick lol but in just the BEST WAY! I clearly know it worked haha
So that was the hardest, I also discovered my FAVORITE thing this week, the hack squat machine. My 1st set of 10 felt really hard and that was with NO WEIGHT on it lol BUT it's 71 pounds with no weight. My next 3 sets seemed easier, I think once I got the form and the feel of it down and I really liked it! Especially the next day when my ass hurt so bad lol or my buttocks 4 all u technical people out there lol I actually had my daughter, poor girl lol, feel my abs and butt before and after i flexed, she was impressed :) she thought I was crazy when i told her to feel my butt tho hehe
I have realized my big goal in this is to lose 60 pounds, get in awesome shape and I would love to be able to teach people what Laura has taught me! I know that is a long way off, but hopefully someday :)
