sorry this is going to be short and not so sweet :(
I am taking care of my sister and her baby since last week cuz she had surgery so i ha vent had free time on here.
I actually GAINED .6 pounds last week. I know its not even a pound, but I can't tell you how disappointed I was. Like I almost cried. I guess it helped tho cuz even trying to work around my sisters house, I have been making sure I work out. Eating has been harder tho cuz I dont always remember to take stuff to her house.
Oh and SURPRISE! I did the elliptical for 10 MINUTES this week!!!!
I went to the drs about my shins, he said no treadmill even for walking for 2 weeks, I figured instead of just bike, I would try the machine from hell. still dont like it but i pushed myself and did it :)
Anyway, I'm sure my weight loss will be better this week and working out is going well.
I'll send u much better stuff next week :)

End of 5th week
Ok, I know, I know, I'm late again, that's me, the perpetual procrastinator, but better late than never in this case :)
As U all know, I was so disappointed last week with my 1.2 pound loss but this week I lost 3.2 POUNDS!! WOOHOO! I was very excited! I am trying to change some eating habits, so instead of eating oreos I eat carrots or an apple. They seem to be my go-to snacks lately. I also bought some of the 90 and 100 calorie snack packs, they r good. I did however have a snickers bar at a basketball game and 1 oreo another night lol I was also going to try and stop drinking coke, not diet, cuz I hate diet, regular coca cola YUMMM but have since decided I am not going too. I will try to eat healthier and I am working out now but not going to stop everything I love and I LOVE coke hehe
Still having some pain in my shins, not back tho, but my right knee has been hurting. I didn't do anything yesterday, but I am going in a few minutes to do some cardio, and am going to try the treadmill again, we will see how it goes, well I really hope!
I did bootcamp 3 times again last week but only did cardio 2 extra times compared to the 3 the week before. And I only rode the bike instead of treadmill. I did well on the bike tho but wonder if thats what is bothering my knee. sucks 2 get old! I have been icing a lot, well fruit and vegetabling lol I really like blueberries best, i'll include a picture haha and now off to da gym to get ma sweat on!

WOW working out end of 4 weeks (i think lol)
This was by far the most I've worked out EVER! Not only did I do my 3 bootcamp classes but I also went 3 other days on my own and did the treadmill. That's right, I actually did it without Laura making me lol I did intervals and am getting much better. Still gasping for air, but much much less hehe My first day doing this was Monday and I did it for 22 minutes. walking, running and jogging. I got up to a 7 speed on the treadmill at a 2 incline. I don't know what they mean exactly lol I used to think it was 7mph but no way, a lot faster, don't know the mph, I'll have to find out. I then went on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday, I also went to bootcamp Wed. night. By Wednesday my shins hurt SOOO bad that I only did 14 minutes and all walking except the 1st minute I tried running and it was excruciating. I did put it on a 4 degree incline though and wow my calves were burning, but I hear it's good for my butt so its all good lol I haven't done the treadmill again until today at bootcamp, where I got up to an 8 on the treadmill. That's right, I'm awesome! hehe not really, I couldn't do it for my 4th time. We do a set of 6 to 8 different things, most lifting weights and on weekends like I said before, it's a little harder so we do the treadmill or that nasty elliptical! It hurt so bad after my 3rd time, I really had a hard time just walking away 2 do my next thing. Apparently it's called shin splints, THEY SUCK!! hurts just to touch the outside, like it's bruised. She gave me some stretches to do though and I've iced and am going to ice again today. Once it feels better though I want to start running more and more. I actually liked it. WTH I know!? I cannot believe I just said that. Never thought I would like it. huh! She did tell me to not run or do the treadmill at all the next 3 days, but to do elliptical, eek. we'll see :/ So, I had my weigh in today for the week and am disappointed with the results, but I'm told with lifting you gain muscle, which I have seen :) but hoping for a bigger number next week. This week was 1.2 pounds. Better than nothing and I do see a difference, I can see it in my arms and waist. So I got the pictures from Laura from last week at the beginning and although I look so gross, I am going to post it on here anyway, so you can all see the difference between now and in 11 more weeks when this challenge is over. Now, remember this is after I did my workout so my hair is all crazy. who am i kidding, it looked like before I started the workout, I have crazy hair hehe GO easy if you leave me any comments, I'm a work in progress. week 3 completed
So this was the 1st week that I worked out 3 times instead of 2. I did all boot camp classes again. I don't remember if I explained what they are. They are between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes-ish. Laura is my instructor and she takes a lot of time 2 come up with the best workouts for us. We NEVER do the same thing twice in a row. It isn't like usual classes at a gym, we are actually IN the gym, using the weights and machines. I prefer this to anything I have ever done and clearly nothing else ever worked for me because I never stuck with it, it never got my attention. The gym I go to is Ironworks gym and if u r looking 4 motivation, I definitely recommend it, plus its open 24 hrs a day, so no excuses! We also had our weigh in on Friday night for the 12 week weight loss competition. I am SOOO excited about it, just a little more push 4 me! I will let u know about my weight loss next week, hopefully it's good. We have weigh-ins every week and hopefully they go well. This coming week I am going to try and go do cardio on 2 or more of my off days. By off days I mean days I don't lift weights at boot camp. That is the bulk of what we do in the class and I clearly need cardio. I know this because boot camp on weekends r a little harder, advanced boot camp I guess and we do intervals on the treadmill or elliptical and I think I remember telling you I HATE THE ELLIPTICAL so I choose the treadmill. I literally am gasping for air when we do this, and it isn't for long. It's for 3 minutes, I KNOW! 3 minutes sounds like it should be easy but to run as fast as your legs will carry you, then slow to a jog then RUN AS FAST AS YOUR LEGS WILL GO AGAIN just about kills me lol (a sneak peek, I am a couple days late with this blog so my new week has begun and I went 2 the gym ON MY OWN 2day 4 the 1st time and did the treadmill for 22 minutes. Doing intervals. I ran up to 7mph at a 2 degree incline) I have to say I am proud of myself for what I accomplished today and that feels extremely odd and stupid and conceited to say but I am, so there u have it :) Oh at our weigh in we also had the option to do pictures for the before and after and measurements. I sent an email asking 4 a copy of the picture to include in this blog but haven't heard from her yet, so if I do later on I will c if I can add it. Well I haven't seen the picture myself, so we will see hehe
I guess that's about it until next week. I will try to be more on the ball when I blog next and make it by Saturday before my new week starts with a Sunday workout.
